The new ZRM 6014 Road Marking Retroreflectometer by Zehntner. 5 Innovations in one go: telescope handle and wheels as standard, colour touch display, camera, level meter and compass.

"Our new ZRM 6014 is setting the trend for the future" says owner and managing director Peter Zehntner. "Our customers expect cutting-edge products and our main goal is the development of user friendly, low maintenance instruments."

On this note, the new retroreflectometer, like all Zehntner products is fast, easy to use and delivers reliable, precise results for all kinds of road markings. Moreover, the long-established Swiss instrument specialists have built in many new innovations for the user:

The large, well-arranged 5.7" colour touch display makes the operation even easier. It is visible in sunlight as well as under artificial lighting. Intuitive menu guidance has always been a matter of course in Zehntner products and the new graphic display layout adds even more clarity.

Furthermore, the ZRM 6014 retrometer shows up in a completely new outfit: a newly designed housing made from sturdy anodized aluminium and as a standard part for the first time an integrated collapsible telescopic handle and wheels for ergonomic operation in the field as well as in laboratories.

The main focus has been put on speeding up the measuring process: RL and Qd are measured in about 2 seconds; single measurements of RL or Qd take only 1 second each. "Combined with the easy operation, this is a priceless advantage for the user" says Zehntner. "Somebody who has actually been on the road for visibility measurements knows, that speed is of the essence."

Besides RL and Qd, the values for the night and day visibility of road markings also temperature and air humidity are recorded simultaneously.

Moreover, the customer can choose from an extensive set of options to configure the instrument according to his personal requirements: a level meter determines the gradient of the road, a compass indicates the orientation and a GPS receiver allows precise positioning of the results. As a standard, all this information can be displayed on a mapping software for easy evaluation.

Another innovation is the optional built-in camera. On demand, the user gets a picture of the marking from the point of view of the measuring instrument, i.e. exactly in the measuring geometry. This is especially helpful when in doubt during the evaluation of critical results.

Naturally, all data can be transferred to a PC or memory stick within seconds, either via the standard USB interface or via an optional Bluetooth® module.

Finally, an built-in printer for printing measuring results on the spot completes the package of options.
